GCHS's College Marketing classes and students in the ACE program collaborated on a holiday plant sale to raise money for Camp Anchor. Today, they presented a check for $330 to representatives from Camp Anchor, MaryAnn Hanson, director, and John McKenna, vice president.
The students worked together during their classes throughout the school day to sell the plants to students and staff. They worked on marketing strategies, sales, money management, and customer service skills.
Special thanks to Dr. McKinstry, Mrs. Colwell, and Mr. Sussman for helping to coordinate. Great job everyone!

Congratulations to Stratford fifth graders, Lucia Hora (l) and Evangeline Berbari (r) for scoring a perfect score of 20 and 19, respectively, in the first of three meets in this year's WordMasters Vocabulary Challenge! Only 43 fifth graders nationally achieved a perfect score. Great job girls!

Did you know? The total cost of the projects that are being proposed on Feb. 13 is approximately $23 million. The district is recommending that $5.34 million be allocated from two capital reserve funds and $17.66 million to come from bonding. If approved by voters, the project would not result in any additional cost to residents, as the projects would be funded through the two existing capital reserve funds and the bond that is tax neutral. Please remember to vote on Feb. 13!
