College Marketing students in Dr. Erin McKinstry's class recently participated in the Adelphi Apprentice Challenge at Adelphi University. Joya Achkar, Eva Brandewiede, Emery Carrillo, Isabella DeRosa, Molly Metz, Grace Power and Alicia Zhang spent significant time preparing parts of a marketing plan and promotional materials for a possible partnership between Guac Shop Mexican Grill and Adelphi University. All the students had an important role in their teams' marketing plan presentations during the Apprentice Challenge.
Congratulations to Alicia Zhang and Joya Achkar whose teams became finalists out of 26 teams competing in the event. Alicia served as the project manager/spokesperson of her team and presented her team's slideshow in front of 250 students and faculty in the Adelphi Performing Arts Center. Joya's detailed marketing plan slideshow was presented in the final round of the competition.
