Garden City Middle School students in Susanne Rupes’ seventh grade German classes have been writing pen pal letters to students at a school in Unna, Germany. This experience has enabled the students to develop their communicative competence in German and learn more about the German culture by corresponding with peers their own age.
“The students are very excited to learn more about their new German friends, and many hope to establish long lasting relationships,” Rupes said.
