The Garden City School District is seeking seven parents/guardians to serve on a Special Education Advisory Committee. This committee’s focus will be on ways to ensure timely and effective communication among the district, parents, and students and increasing school community’s knowledge of K-12 special education services and programs available in the district.  We are looking for volunteers who are knowledgeable about special education; they should have strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work with committee members that include students, a Board of Education trustees, teachers, and building and district level administrators.  Volunteers will attend 8 meetings for the 2023-2024 school year.
